VnC was created by a clever, cocktail loving New Zealander.

One day, as he chopped into his sixteenth overpriced lime, his hands sticky with an obscure brand of cane sugar, he realised his cocktail-making time was cutting into his cocktail-drinking-time.

Wouldn't it be great if he had delicious cocktails pre-prepared and waiting in the fridge? That way he could
spend a lot more time socializing and chit-chatting and
a lot less time mixing, muddling, blending, crushing,
and cleaning up.

That could work. That could work very, very well.

The idea excited him. If he felt like this, surely there
were lots of other cocktail-loving party people who
felt the same way– even just in his own
neighbourhood.

He gave it the overnight test, and the next morning it
still seemed like a good idea, as the best ideas often
do. So he shared with a like-minded friend, who
agreed it was simply
genius and wondered
why nobody
had done this
properly
before.

Being New Zealanders used to things clean and pure and fresh and good, the VnC founders set about giving the world ready-to-serve cocktails that are as natural as they are convenient.

That’s when the fun started. And the work. Well, the fun work.

They consulted some of the world’s top mixologists for exciting recipes and flavour combinations.

They took a blood oath never to use anything but 100% pure fruit juices mixed with premium liquor. Why would you?

And of course, it was a given that no artificial preservatives, additives or colours would get anywhere near a VnC bottle.

The VnC guys blended and they tweaked and they tested and they sampled and they partied until they knew that what they had was really, really good.

The best ready-to-serve cocktails in the world.

And the rest, as they say, is cocktail party history.

When you’re this ugly, you’ll get left on the shelf if you can’t make a decent cocktail.

The beauty of passionfruit is pretty well hidden. To use a film metaphor, passionfruit is the mousy librarian who eventually removes her glasses, shakes out her ponytail, and everyone suddenly sees that she’s actually a real fox. Not us. We spotted passionfruit’s talent right away, that’s why she’s starring here with lemon, lime and pure vodka.

If you need more passion in your life… We probably can’t help much with that. But if you need more passionfruit, VnC Passionfruit Caprioska has plenty of the ripest, juiciest pulp, which brings together an exotic medley of flavours and makes them sing with a crescendo of deliciousness.

Some botanists believe that, strictly speaking, the fabulous fruit of the straw can’t really call itself a berry, because its seeds are all on the outside. As we regularly fell asleep at the back of biology class, we can’t really say either way. What we do know is that one of our most delectable cocktails just wouldn’t be the same without a heaping helping of these New Zealand grown beauties – identity crisis or not.

VnC Strawberry Daiquiri uses Camarosa Strawberries grown in New Zealand, famous far and wide for their size and flavour. We use a good handful of Camarosa Strawberries – that’s six or seven – in every bottle. Using these babies makes this cocktail explode with flavour and texture. What’s more you can see the strawberry in the glass… is your mouth watering yet?

If you come from a country that’s just desert, cacti and corn, you have to have a bit of fun every now and again. Which is probably why Mexico invented this drink.

To make the best Margarita’s, we start with juicy lemons and limes. Then add tequila of course. And as any student of the school of life knows, all tequila comes from Mexico. But we always blend them together back in New Zealand because that’s where our mum’s are and sometimes we get a bit more homesick from all this global fruit gathering business, ok?

The VnC Margarita cocktail combines the finest Mexican tequila with the tartness of lime juice, balanced with a touch of orange triple sec liqueur. Like all authentic tequilas, our Blanco Tequila is sourced from the Jalisco region of Mexico. Our limes come from the sunny West Indies and nothing is done to the fruit other than squeezing the best out of them, so the juice retains its natural cloudiness and tangy flavour.

Summertime love, minus the jellyfish and sand in your bikini bottoms.

Nothing says ‘summer’ like mangoes. Befuddle your body into thinking it’s warm out, by enjoying perfectly ripe mangoes blended with pure New Zealand vodka, puckered up with juicy lemons and limes. So even if it’s snowing where you live, if you’ve got our Mango Daiquiri, you’ll be down to your underwear tossing a beach ball like a catalogue model, while you listen to some sweet, sweet reggae music. No point trying to fight it.

Mangoes are seasonal, so to make the most excellent VnC Mango Daiquiri we have to be super speedy to make sure we catch the most ripe and luscious ones, before blending until silky smooth with the fresh juice of lemons and limes.

Bananas are more fun when they're mushed up with vodka and limes.

Obscure historical fact time. In the 19th century, the prudish Victorians thought the banana’s shape was rather suggestive, so once they were done covering piano legs, they mushed them up with the best booze and eureka, the first Banana Daiquiri was born. Of course you’ll never find this mentioned in the history books. But who wants to read when you could be drinking a Banana Daiquiri?

For VnC Banana Daiquiri, we import fresh, premium bananas from Ecuador and then peel each one individually and puree them in small batches. The quality of the bananas and the pureeing creates just the right combination of fruity taste and texture.

Pomegranates are full of antioxidants. Not that it really matters after your second or third pomegranate cosmopolitan.

Pomegranate is one of the world’s “super fruits”. Wheat germ is also one of the world’s healthiest food products, but a wheat germ cosmo would taste disgusting and be unpopular and send us broke. On the other hand, muddle together some pomegranate, cranberry, vodka and triple sec liqueur and you’re onto a winner.

VnC Pomegranate Cosmopolitan is crammed with antioxidant super fruits pomegranate and cranberry. Pomegranates have been grown in the Mediterranean since ancient times – ours come from Turkey and taste really good. The cranberry juice we use is sourced from Chile because of its bright colour, rich flavour and the fact it’s also really high in antioxidants.

Lots of good things come from Cuba like cigars and good-looking people and interesting ideology and coffee and limes and organic gardening and the clever idea of muddling limes and mint together.

The Mojito comes from Cuba. We knew this guy called Alejandro Almandeto Estaban and he was from Cuba. He said that parties would go for three days and everyone would dance and drink Mojitos. But Alejandro drank a lot of Mojitos and didn’t speak much English so we’re not really sure that’s what he said.

The unique mintiness in VnC’s Vodka Mojito comes from specially sourced fresh garden mint. Limes are another vital ingredient and nothing is done to the fruit other than squeezing the heck out of them so the juice retains its natural cloudiness and crisp, fresh flavour.

New Zealand stole the feijoa from Brazil and claimed it as their own. Clever buggers. Like New Zealand took Chinese gooseberries from China and told the world they were kiwifruit, we’ve taken the pineapple guava from Brazil and told everyone it’s a feijoa. It makes them sound exotic and exciting, and we’ve got heaps of them. So enjoy the taste of feijoa mixed with vodka and cloudy apple juice, sit back, and toast New Zealand’s lateral thinking and marketing savvy.

VnC Feijoa & Apple uses the pick of New Zealand’s feijoas. The special juicing technique we use means it literally bursts with the fruit’s unique freshly picked flavour. Our cloudy apple juice comes from the pick of New Zealand’s red apple variety, known to kiwis as ‘red delicious’. This juice is processed very gently to retain its natural mouth feel and fresh flavour.

The fact that you just selected a cocktail called a Pacific Mai Tai might suggest you need a holiday. Quite soon. Well our over-worked friend, you’re in luck. Because this tempting coconut, pineapple and lime concoction was made for the sole purpose of transporting you to the tropics – no airports or waxing appointments necessary.

The VnC Pacific Mai Tai is based on the best pineapple juice sourced from the juiciest fruit in the Philippines, juiced on the day it’s picked. The coconut juice we use is specially sourced to add the distinctive flavours of the tropics when combined with the classic rum flavouring.

Behind VnC’s playful, party-loving image is a serious philosophy.

We don't believe in posturing or fakeness or artificiality. We believe in authentic, natural goodness. Keeping it real.

The only ingredients in VnC Cocktails are premium vodka and 100% natural fruit juices, sourced from the best suppliers around the world. That’s it. Nothing else. End of story.

Artificial preservatives, additives and colourings are banned substances around here. We wouldn’t ever consider using anything artificial.

We know where they come from and how they’ve been grown, and our fruit finders pick the best of them to be crushed and juiced and mixed and blended into VnC Cocktails.

This natural philosophy extends to everything else we do, too.

The earth is our favourite party venue so we’re proud to be the first product in the world to receive CEMARS® certification, sounds fancy huh? It stands for Carbon Emmission Management and Reduction Scheme. What that means is that as a company we are committed to reducing carbon emissions in everything we do. From the growing of our fruit, turning that fruit into our delicious cocktails and then shipping it to a store near you. We even consider how the containers we use effect the environment.

So not only can you rest assured you are drinking the world’s best ready to serve cocktail, but you can do so with a clear conscious.
